About Harbor Light Daily
Documentation of Poland's maritime lighthouse heritage, coastal navigation systems, and Baltic Sea navigational infrastructure.
Updated: May 2026
What This Site Covers
Harbor Light Daily focuses on the architecture, history, and current status of lighthouse structures along the Polish Baltic coastline. The site covers the approximately 500-kilometre stretch from Świnoujście at the western Oder estuary to the Gulf of Gdańsk in the east, including the Hel Peninsula and the Vistula Lagoon approaches.
Content areas include the structural and architectural characteristics of existing and former lighthouse towers, the history of coastal navigation light systems and their technical development, and the institutional frameworks through which Polish heritage organisations and maritime authorities manage these structures today.
Editorial Approach
Articles on this site are written in an informational register. The aim is to present documented facts and contextual analysis without commercial framing. Where specific figures are given — dimensions, dates, equipment specifications — these are drawn from publicly available sources including institutional records from Polish maritime offices, publications from the National Maritime Museum in Gdańsk, and peer-reviewed historical surveys.
Where precise data is unavailable or unverifiable from public sources, neutral descriptive language is used rather than invented specifics. Unattributed statistics are not published on this site.
